Native Plant Workshops All Month
(October is the Perfect Time to Plant Natives)
October 5, 12, 14 and 26th
12 noon to 1:30 pm

Fall is the right time to install native plants in the garden.  Native plants use less water and and support local ecologies of animals and insects we depend upon for a healthy environment and food production.  Native plant gardens celebrate a unique California heritage featuring species which have histories of thousands of years of use by native people.   Native plants are declining state-wide and you can participate in keeping awareness of this decline in the public eye by displaying native plants in your garden and discussing their essential roles with neighbors, family and friends.

Come to Ploughshares this October to learn about native plants, how to install and maintain them and learn how native plants benefit our communities.
