FREE WORKSHOP
March 5, 2019
12-2pm

Learn how to get the most from your small-space food garden. Drawing on her many years of Bay Area gardening experience, Pam Peirce will share information on year-round garden planning, choosing the best crops and varieties for a small garden, growing edible flowers, planting flowers to attract beneficial insects, and avoiding many of the most common garden pests. Beginner or experienced gardener, you will find plenty of helpful information here. Useful handouts, including one on growing food in containers, included.

Pam Peirce is a San Francisco-based gardener, author, photographer, and lecturer. Her classic regional gardening book, Golden Gate Gardening, is in its third edition, which includes four planting calendars, covering micro-climates from the coast inland as far as Walnut Creek or San Jose. Pam taught horticulture at City College of San Francisco for nearly 30 years and her garden column appears monthly in the San Francisco Chronicle.
